The Lion Pride
The history of Rosenwald began with the opening of the first Rosenwald school in the Cutoff in 1923. We are proud to continue that legacy as the first high school in this storied tradition. We are the Pride because it represents our pride in ourselves, in our history, and in our community. A pride of lions looks out for each other and works together towards a common goal - this is the legacy that we carry on today. This mascot was adopted in the fall of 2018 when the school was re-founded as a high school. We invite alums from generations of the Julius Rosenwald Accelerated School to come home and help us as we continue the traditions of the Rosenwald school that has served the Cutoff community for generations. We celebrate the long standing legacy of the Rosenwald graduates and invite them to join our Pride.
